NOVEMBER 13 2009 Snowshoe Open at Snowflex
On November 13th, Snowshoe Mountain Resort is kicking off the winter season at Liberty University's Snowflex Centre in Lynchburg, VA. Snowflex is the most advanced technology in synthetic surfaces for enjoyment of winter sports all year. Liberty University's amazing facility gives skiers and riders the chance to participate in their favorite activities, regardless of season. The first—hopefully annual—Snowshoe Open will be held November 13th. The event will begin at Noon with an afternoon Open Jam Session. Our panel of judges will select competition finalists from the crowd throughout the day. Beginning at 10pm, the slope will be closed for the event finals. Skier and riders will compete in both Big Air and a Rail Jam competition, with great spectator vantage points available at the Barrick-Falwell Lodge, which sits "slopeside". By Midnight, we'll crown our Big Air, Rail Jam and Overall Champions. Great prizes like a Snowshoe Season Pass, Snowshoe lift tickets and gear from industry favorites like Burton and 686 will cap a great day of fun. No entry fee will be charged for the event, participants must simply purchase a Snowflex lift ticket. All Liberty University Snowflex Centre policies must be obeyed. Please visit liberty.edu/snowflex for full details. For more information, please contact Laura Parquette at info@snowshoemtn.com or 304-572-5443.
